Theology of Youth Ministry Conference 2010

When Worlds Collide: Bridging Gospel, Church and Culture

September 23 - 24 | St Anne's Anglican Church, Ryde - Sydney

This highly interactive conference was designed to facilitate rigorous theological reflection and challenging conversations as we explored the theological significance of culture, how church communities pass on Christian culture among youth and how youth ministry should respond to significant cultural shifts.

Keynote Speaker: The Rev Dr Jack Gabig
Jack Gabig has been involved in children’s, youth and young adult ministries in the U.S. and U.K. for more than 25 years. He is a graduate of Trinity School for Ministry in Pittsburgh (M.Div. 1995), and completed his Ph.D. research at King’s College, London (2007), in cultural studies and practical theology, looking at the role of popular culture in the religious lives of American teenagers. He is a consultant for the Anglican Church in North America (ACNA), the new conservative Anglican Province in North America, lecturer in Youth Ministry at Trinity School for Ministry in Pittsburgh (an Anglican Theological Seminary in the Evangelical Tradition), and the Executive Secretary for the International Association for the Study of Youth Ministry.
